Co-founded with Annie Chen in 2024, BEAM is a living laboratory that works with communities, companies, and governing bodies to develop innovative and equitable climate action strategies. We create strategic design interventions at the intersection of human and living systems.

Community Biotechnology is a research group at MIT Media Lab founded by biotechnologist and organizer David Kong. I am working on this project about coral restoration as a research affiliate. More can be shared at a later time.

AttentivU is a brain computer interaction device created by visionary research scientist Natailya Kosmyna. I spearheaded our design team for 3 years to focus on ergonomics research of the product while balancing marketability and cost of goods to prototype and manufacture. I was a co-author on "Using Wearable Brain Sensing Glasses during Zero-G Flight for Hyperscanning: Preliminary Study" presented at American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) - ASCEND.

Design strategy & development for the "Transformational Skills Guide: Expanding the Definition of Climate Literacy", a multi-agency collaboration between NOAA, EPA, EDC, EOP, Inner Development Goals, USDA, and more.

SCUP was an award winning research group & sort of attempted start up focused on the co-habitation of offshore wind and aquaculture. Caleb Callaway, Louis Hand, Geneva Casalegno, and I created this group after winning SeaAhead’s BlueGreen Challenge in 2021.SCUP’s central proposal, and perhaps it’s most sellable, was to develop a modular system to be equipped on offshore wind farms to enable aquaculture farming. This was created in response to offshore winds continued contentious relationship with fisheries around the East Coast with hopes to create a piece to negotiate social buy-in. For me, the project was never about the physical product, but about mapping relational dynamics found a community that is increasing (physically and economically) vulnerable to climate change. I don't think our strength was even in creating the structure, but in developing a strategic intervention to an emerging socio-political minefield. Since 2021, our team graduated college and most of us found adult jobs -- SCUP’s chapter came to its close. As a longtime entrepreneur (addict?), I wanted to see where else this framework could take me. In 2024, I founded BEAM with Annie Chen. Though SCUP’s named years are technically over, Annie and I plan to continue the work in this new group. The Center for Complexity (CfC) is RISD’s strategic design studio. As a student design fellow, I helped developed database on strategic design, conducted and synthesized interviews with designers in the field, and designed a structure for the database to grow organically.

I contracted for NOAA Fisheries with Louis Hand to create graphic design & illustrations for the Biological Guide to Aquaculture.

Altimeter is a strategic design studio that largely focuses on national security. I worked as an intern and a contractor during my last year at RISD. As an intern, I created artifacts around the future of personal security and developed a proposal for Coastal Futures in Rockland, Maine. As a contractor, I assisted with the Democracy2076 workshop development.

Filmed an instructional video for a zero-bycatch experimental squid jig. Showed at the Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Council in 2023.

I was a teaching assistant for Mickey Ackerman for a number of years. He is the greatest. Teaching was awesome.

I taught and became a local legend at RISD's freshman shop, 187 Benefit St. Studio. My photo proudly hung in the bathroom for two years before being taken down at maintenance. Work wise, I helped a lot of freshmen not cut off limbs on industrial equipmnent over three years.

Product manager for WBRU, one of New England's oldest and most significant public radio stations. Manages five teams of writers and creatives. Formerly editor and writer for B-side Magazine- a music publication focused on young musicians of New England that brings the voice of the youth to the public.

The Morphing Matter Lab (previously CMU; currently UC Berkeley) is an interdisciplinary lab focused on self actuating materials founded and directed by Lining Yao. I was a summer research assistant funded by NSF REU and the RISD SPUR Fund. I contributed to and co-authored "Bioderived Hygromorphic Twisted Actuator for Untethered Sustainable Systems", which was presented in the Living Machines Conference in Genoa, Italy. I assisted with developing applications for robotics and furniture joinery, creating the process for sample fabrication, and graphic data visualization for the paper. I also participated in a materials engineering hackathon with Dr. Shu's Lab at the University of Pennsylvania.

While working with the Biodesign Challenge, I read hundreds of scientific papers to expanding and refining the research database. This database serves as a generalized curriculum for the Biodesign Challenge participants. This experience also taught me how to read academic papers, trial by fire.

Ginkgo is a pre-accelerator program that aims to teach entrepreneurial skills to students of all majors with no background knowledge or previous experience in entrepreneurship. Through our two week program, students will be able to create a product concept, learn to develop a brand and establish a full business pitch for UpStart.

I founded Indigo with my sister the summer before my senior year of high school. I would say that I served as the creative director, but in truth I wore many hats in the entire range of the spectrum of a business. We did quite well with over $100,000 in sales and millions of page views on social media (mind you, this was pre-tiktok). We were worn by Emma Chamberlain, Mackenzie Ziegler, Casey Fray, and more. Our clothes were even featured in Vox, the O! Magazine, and the Today Show (we had a cult of VSCO girls who wore our clothes).My time running Indigo was invaluable & imperfect. It was an incredibly harrowing way to learn about the power of perception, the malleability of value, and the weight of the dollar. There is no trial like growing a business at the age of 18. It was exhilarating and exhausting -- can't recommend it enough.
