Brief description (Very brief)Area: Employee RelationsExperience included 1 to 1 support for managers and employees in Attendance matters, Conduct hearings, to include Disciplinaries and Capability. Day to day duties included the management of ER casework, implementation of policies, supporting managers and employees and liaising with unions, Occupational Health and County Councillors on various ER issues. Most recent duties included supporting employees in the Redeployment process following redundancy notification, ill health capability and performance capability etc. Area: LeadershipLeadership of a team of 12 HR Advisors - everything from workload management to people management and guidance. A large part of my role was to ensure the HR Advisor's were providing an accurate and efficient service to internal and external customers and I was the first point of contact for the team for any issues they had. I used Coaching and Mentoring skills to influence and motivate the team and learnt very quickly to think on my feet and face a challenge head on. I learnt to manage conflict and expectations as well as inject passion and enthusiasm in to the team. I worked on system and operational improvements, in line with the fast changing pace of HR. Area: Project ManagementUsing previous experience and research to improve the operational procedures within our HR Service whilst adhering to strict deadlines and reporting back to a team of Senior Officers on a regular basis. Involved managing my own time, workload and priorities, using my initiative and creative mind, working closely with our HR Systems officer and ICT department and continuously adapting supporting tools in line with the changes in processes. The main aim of this project was to streamline processes for our HR Advisors and our customers - making working life easier and more efficient for all.
