I have been in the equine industry for most of my life - starting at 7 years old. I have sat on many different types, breeds and ages of horses. As a highschooler, I had the opportunity to have my own young horse while also getting to ride the horses in training. This gave me the experience and drive to ride different horses and learn whatever I could for them. As a student in Findlay's equestrian program I am receiving a top tier education in all things horse care, and riding, and training. I spent the summer of 2023 as a working student under a 2* eventer, again where I was able to ride many different horses and was supported in my growing education. My main goal in this industry is to always be open to learning and to better each horse I touch in turn, helping improve their welfare. In conclusion, my special interests in my industry is young horse training and welfare.
