I have been working in the media sector for over 25 years, with a passion for promoting media development, freedom of expression, and access to information. As the Director of the Namibia Media Trust, I oversee strategic initiatives to support media innovation, digital transformation, and media literacy in Namibia, a country with a vibrant and independent media landscape.I also hold leadership positions in regional and global networks that advocate for the role of independent and pluralistic media in sustainable development. As the Chairperson and Steering Committee Member of the Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD), I work with diverse stakeholders to coordinate and amplify the voice of the media development community. As the Chairperson and Working Group Member of the African Platform on Access to Information (APAI), I campaign for the adoption and implementation of access to information laws and policies in Africa. My skills in policy advocacy, proposal evaluation, and writing enable me to contribute to the advancement of media rights and democracy in the region and beyond.My interventions are rooted in sound comprehension of data, founded on extensive media monitoring and years of meticulous analysis of pertinent metrics.
