As a business development and marketing manager I find my remit to be broad and varied. My position involves appraising the business, and then creating the best marketing solution and strategy that not only targets our market, but also fits with our company goals and ethics. Two key performance indicators that are never far from my thoughts are: maximising ROI; and brand awareness. I strive to create and maintain consistency across our website, social media accounts and print media advertising – all of which I am directly responsible for. In this vain, I write Blogs for our website as part of one way we hope will improve SEO. In addition to this, once the most appropriate advertising media has been identified I am also responsible for the ideas and content creation. Our recently created brochure, which we showcased at the London Wine Fair 2018, I was particularly proud of. Event selection, management of the event through the planning stage plus throughout the event itself is something I enjoy. The opportunity to speak directly with potential clients I find particularly exciting and a welcome change from the usual email exchange. On a daily basis I respond to enquiries and also try to attend as many events as possible for the networking opportunities they provide.
