Additionally, I manage meticulous records of creditors and debtors, overseeing the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions to ensure seamless financial operations. My role also involves dealing with external auditors, ensuring the timely completion of external audits.

During my stay in the firm, I have had a diversified professional experience of auditing financial statements of business organizations, advising clients as regards the accounting and financial reporting and providing assistance in implementation of effective internal controls in organizations and other varied special nature engagements relevant to accounting and financial reporting.I was responsible for supervising all facets of audit and related engagements assigned, from initial planning to the conclusion of examination and reporting thereon. A brief of major responsibilities include:- Overall planning of audits, conducting initial planning meetings with clients to understand & develop expectations and designing audit strategies in consultation with the Engagement Manager and Partner.- Preparation of final audit deliverables – audit report, covering letter to the Board of Directors, Management Letter, reporting packs and other ancillary reports and certificates.- Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and other regulations through review and other controls.- Facilitating clients in the application of International Accounting standards and preparation of financial statements including significant financial statement disclosures, in compliance with the statutory requirements and relevant reporting framework.- Training and facilitating junior members of the team.- Obtaining detailed understanding of the nature of client’s business, its environment and corporate policies through meeting with process owners.- Reviewing corporate policies through performance of walkthroughs and checking their adherence.- Performing control assessments and testing of internal controls of various departments, significant account balances and transactions at the interim and final stages for identification of risks and control deficiencies.- Auditing and implementation of IFRS 9 and IFRS 15.
