In 2009, Aecon acquired Lockerbie & Hole (my former company). As a result of this acquisition, I was promoted to Manager of Enterprise Applications. I was hired by Lockerbie & Hole to upgrade and implement a new version of their warehouse tool tracking software. This project involved reviewing processes, cleansing data, performing a data conversion and implementing new barcode scanning technology.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES● Analyzed legacy system and processes in preparation for conversion to new system ● Prepare data for data conversion (data cleansing) ● Installed ASP application on IIS web server and configured ● Installed and configured wireless devices ● Imported data into SQL Server and facilitated/co-ordinated cut-over to new production system

This job was an application support role. This was a very interesting opportunity for me because it was my first exposure to working for a software development company. This position was a great foundation for my career and has given me a very logical understanding of how the underlying hardware, operating systems and drivers work together in a functioning computer system. I was promoted into this role when an opportunity presented itself.
