BuildX is a Pan-European procurement platform for the professional construction industry. Our initial mission is to open up the Swedish housing market for European construction companies. Swedish construction prices of housing projects are 70% above the EU average. Our vision is to create one single market for professional construction projects, where contractors can work freely and prices are more balanced.

Working on high-end Oracle SPARC processors and servers as software-hardware feature architect with a main focus on Oracle Database, Java and Solaris architectural support. My passion is "mission critical" product design that provides best possible customer experience.I became an Oracle employee when Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle Corporation.

Transactional memory principal investigator and working group lead. Collaboration with Stanford University, Sun Labs, and internal senior technical contributors. Team lead for performance analysis of emerging scripting languages that consecutively improved Oracle SPARC T4 micro-architecture and produced performance benefits up to 25%. Virtual team lead for deployment and enhancements of memcached and Hadoop on Sun's Niagara platform. Demonstrated world record single-socket memcached server performance with 10 gigabit Ethernet and Sun UltraSPARC T2 processor; featured at https://highscalability.com/. Showcased big data on Sun's private cloud CMT offerings: "Scaling Hadoop for Multi-core and Highly Threaded Systems,” Hadoop Summit 2009, June 10th, Santa Clara, CA. Hosted Sun's Hadoop “Webinar” with over 400 external participants.

Simulation methodology and development for large chip and system configurations (today know as Oracle SPARC T3, T4, T5, M5, M6, M7 and M8 systems). Principal investigator and simulation lead for transactional memory support; designed and implemented an efficient and feature complete emulation framework for hardware-assisted transactional memory systems.

High performance computer architecture research at Uppsala Architecture Research Team (UART) directed by Professor Erik Hagersten, a former high-end server guru at Sun Microsystems. I was one of the founding members of UART. Worked 20% of the time as a computer science undergraduate teacher and/or teaching assistant: Algorithms and Data Structures, Computer Architecture, and Object-Oriented Programming with Java. Served as a Master's thesis advisor for two projects.

Software architecture and development of the emulation technology (project DSZOOM) for very realistic studies of fine-grained software-based distributed shared memory at the Department of Information Technology. This run-time environment and emulation technology was further enhanced by several graduate and undergraduate students at Uppsala University and is the main experimentation framework for more than five refereed publications at international conferences and workshops.

Designed and developed an automatic tool for more efficient and reliable verification and certification of ISDN systems with test protocols provided by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). Member of the "Docware" team that pioneered a CD-ROM/HTML production of numerous complex technical manuals that literally replaced bookshelves with a compact disk. Remembers using a cool SGML editor running on a very cool Sun SPARC workstation.
