Zoé Coker is a doctoral student in Ethnomusicology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a recent graduate from Howard University, where she earned her B.A. in African American Studies.Her research interests include African American musics and musical legacies, transcendental experiences, HBCU music education, and the political economy of music.
