Worked with a local NGO in rural Sri Lanka; this organisation aims to improve the lives and well-being of some of the most vulnerable children in the Puttalam region.Examined and evaluated environmental impact assessments (EIAs) with particular attention to groundwater quality in the rural region of Puttalam & wider North Western Province.Presented thesis research at a series of regional meetings with key governmental stakeholders coordinating water management in the Puttalam district.

Glasgow, Scotland

Comprised of six students, the focus of the project centred on examining the interactions between the International Climate Change Regime and the Sustainable Development Framework. The CASP group critically evaluated the mutual supportiveness of these regimes and produced several policy briefs mapping the UN Climate Change negotiations and the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research culminated in a student led interactive workshop held in June 2015, at the University of Strathclyde.
