I am a 5th year PhD student in the Chemical and Biological engineering program at CU Boulder. As a grad student, I have been funded by the NSF graduate research fellowship for optimization of the fungal luminescence pathway as well as high throughput development of small molecule biosensors. I have previous experience working in an optogenetics lab at Georgia Tech and the NanoBiosensors for Planetary Health lab at the University of Florida.As a McNair scholar alumnus, I am passionate about increasing representation of underrepresented students in STEM professions. My aim is to integrate my experiences in mentoring, tutoring, gardening, and protein engineering into my future career.
