The results of my work helped to further develop a co-culture system of the patient-specific tumour microenvironment as an individualised platform for cell interaction as well as therapeutic and pharmacological studies. I worked as a supervisor of the basic chemistry practical course for first-year medicine and dentistry students where I held introductory colloquia, supervised the experiments, helped with and proofread the protocols and seminar questions.

During my 4-week internship, I was able to get an insight into two research groups. Secondly, during my work in the Molecular Biotechnology group (now known as the cell and tissue technologies innovation field) I was involved in the cloning and transformation process of a factor VII expressing cell line as well as the validation of a HEK hTLR4 cell line in a time-& dose-dependent PAMP-Assay.Additionally, I attended the weekly group and department meetings as well as the journal club.
