At SEAT, a member of the Volkswagen Group, I worked within the After Sales sector on varying tasks. My main role was to implement the quality assurance processes that Volkswagen use, to improve the overall quality of translations. Further tasks included exporting and importing translations, proofreading documents in all three of my languages, as well as translating presentations for meetings with English-speaking suppliers. This experience not only enabled me to greatly improve my oral and written Spanish, but also gave me the opportunity to produce and present my ideas to colleagues and suppliers, thus developing a multitude of skills.

During my time at Volkswagen, I worked as a translator in the Language Services department within the After Sales branch. I translated a multitude of texts from different genres, for example, journalistic, technical and financial. I enjoyed the marketing texts the most, however, as they allowed me to be slightly more creative, and it was a real sense of achievement to see my work used on the homepage of the company website. I also took the opportunity to work with colleagues throughout the department, focussing on terminology and quality assurance projects. I feel that from having various projects with tight deadlines, I have gained the ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.
