During my time at the BHF I have independently run successful campaigns, from idea to implementation, including a national campaign outlining the impact of air pollution on the heart and calls for a new clean air act. This campaign brought together researchers, case studies and other stakeholders and influenced our involvement in shaping new legislation as well as achieving fantastic media coverage –My role at the BHF includes:- Campaigns: Lead and support in the delivery of communication campaigns – including proposing, developing and delivering ambitious and creative communications strategies- Reactive PR: Participating in the team’s newsdesk and out of hour’s service on a rotary basis - responding to enquiries from journalists with initiative, speed and accuracy to ensure every opportunity is fully maximised for the charity. - Proactive PR: Environment scanning and being proactive around the news agenda, maximising opportunities for the BHF.- Media Materials: Producing and distributing media materials, manage media briefings, photo calls, launch activities etc. - Creating Contacts: Building, maintaining and developing a strong network of contacts across relevant channels Show less
