As a foundation student myself, I had the opportunity to work with new ID students to help them understand photography as a tool for Design. I worked collaboratively with the professor to shape the curriculum and designed two lesson plans which I led. One was focused on pre/post processing basics and the other on composition. I value interactive, dynamic and experiential learning environments and prioritized hands-on as much as possible.

Two consecutive summer long internships as the Design Research lead within a cross-disciplinary innovation team focused on concepting and developing new products and services outside the core.Summer 2: May 2021 - Aug 2021Lead Researcher helping contextualize wellbeing in schools to help shape future innovation products to address it.- Illustrated and developed a concept video for stakeholder reaction/response- Planned, conducted and led 15 stake holder interviews- Mentored an undergrad Engineering student in Design Research Methods- Synthesized key findings into recommendations for NBI’s next stepsSummer 1: May 2020 - Aug 2020Brought on as the Design Researcher and Strategist for an intense summer internship at the beginning of COVID-19. Amid re-prioritization and developing new strategies to navigate the pandemic, I was brought on at ground zero. As part of a small, specialized cross disciplinary innovation team that works across departments, I was afforded the opportunity to learn by doing and to make a meaningful impact to organizational strategy, new and ongoing product/service development.- UI/UX lead in the research, conceptualization, communication and pilot plan development of a product to help make the workplace safe. - Trend forecasted the future of work and developed speculative design concepts that Steelcase could begin exploring.- Led a 3 day sprint and presentation that informed senior leadership on how to differentiate product return experiences on the web. - Supported the development of new business models to address the work from home shift.

Project 2: Feb 2021 - May 2021Conducted 6 workshops with Breakout as part of a grant program for under represented entrepreneurs to help them embrace design thinking in order to see their business differently and create unforeseen value.

Project 1: July 2019 - Oct 2019City as Lab: A Bauhaus ImmersionDesigned an immersive 2-day experience that steeped attendees in the past and present of the New Bauhaus in Chicago.• Organized visits to artist studios such as LUFTWURK, and an intimate panel discussion with Mies Vander Roe’s grandson, Dirk Lohan, and Former ID Dean, Patrick Whitney• Solidified partnerships with leading cultural institutions and organizations carrying on the experimental ethos of Bauhaus.• Developed the platform to create shared moments that matter, inspiring fresh perspectives and new relationships.

Created a 8-part remote workshop experience for a top health care organization to enable diverse executive level stakeholders to imagine, align, and activate new healthcare delivery experiences. - Create conditions for collective creativity and innovation through instructional design and tools like zoom and miro- Facilitated discussion with multi-disciplined teams. Included IT, Sales, and Operations Executives- Synthesize co-created insights to clearly articulated concepts that help initiate alignment and inspire confidence to take further action.

Shortly after, I took lead on client engagement/project development and eventually began generating my own business and orchestrating the entire project cycle from BD, Capabilities, Discovery, Strategy & Design Development, Project Alignment, Pitch, Close to on-site supervision & on-going customer partnership.
