As a Teach for Bangladesh Fellow, I embraced the mission to eradicate educational inequity and aligned with the vision of fostering leadership in education within an underserved community in Dhaka. Over two years, I taught ESL, Social Science, and Science to nearly 180 6th and 7th graders, embodying the commitment to create equitable learning opportunities. Leveraging data-driven decision-making, I significantly contributed to educational assessments and school improvement projects, working in concert with a team of over 30 dedicated teachers. My instructional design was tailored for adolescent learning, supporting the broader goal of educational reform and leadership development. Beyond teaching, I engaged in youth development, educational leadership, and established effective parent-teacher communication, reinforcing community involvement. My efforts in project management and report writing provided insightful analyses on strategies to overcome educational challenges. By addressing individual student counseling needs, I furthered our collective aim to empower students for personal and academic success. This comprehensive experience has deeply engrained in me the complexities of educational inequity and the transformative power of informed, committed teaching.
