At Black Coffee Robotics I handle anything and everything that is required to seamlessly scale the business. On the technology front, I have been working on a wide range of projects in domains including but not limited to indoor/outdoor mobile robots, autonomous drones and autonomous boats.

My contribution at THRSL includes• Developing a 3D point cloud based dynamic obstacle detector and tracker.• Porting and maintaining the ROS based Software stack for the NovusCarry100 class of robots. I also deployedpilot NovusCarry100 robots at industrial sites.• Developing reflector based hyper accurate localization and servoing module for mobile robots.• Developing scripted utilities in the above software stack for node bringups, life-cycle management etc.• DevOps for mobile robots. I setup and currently maintain a Gitlab server for version control and continuousintegration of Software for our autonomous mobile robots, forklifts and pallet jacks.

At FlytBase Inc. I majorly contributed to FlytOS, the Operating System for commercial drones. During my tenure atFlytBase my work involved around• Developing, testing and maintaining ROS based APIs for FlytOS.• Porting FlytOS to various single board computers like Nvidia TX1, Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison etc.• Building autonomous drone applications that leverage FlytOS APIs. This included Deep Learning and Visionbased applications.• Streamlining and automating production of FlytOS on all supported platforms.

I worked at the Biorobotics Lab, Carnegie Mellon University as a summer research intern from May-July 2015 under the guidance of Professor Howie Choset.One of the major research area that the Biorobotics Lab works in is design and control of very high DOF snake like robots. The lab has been successful in designing various motion plans or "gaits" for simple actions like moving straight, rolling, turning etc. These gaits reduce the complexity of the control problem of the snake robots from many degrees of freedom to a manageable few parameters.The major application of these robots is Urban search and rescue, and staircases/steps are challenging features that these robots must overcome. During the course of my internship, I designed a gait that enabled the snake robots to climb staircases of varying step heights.

I interned at the Mechatronics Lab IIT Delhi under the supervision of Prof Sudipto Mukherjee from May-July 2014. My work there involved working on a teleoperation exoskeleton.
