My name’s Zuhair and I am 33 years old with 8 years’ experience in the hair industry. A fun fact about me is that I wasn’t always a barber. When I was younger, I graduated in finance and economics, and also studied auditing. I’m very pleased to say that I rose up the ranks to become a corporate auditor. I’m still very proud of my success, but I wanted to follow my grandfather’s pathway as a barber who taught me how to cut hair and shave the classic way. In 2016, I decided to study it the modern way so i enrolled to Vidal Sassoon courses which is very well known in the United Kingdom. I fell in love with the modern barbering and wanted to incorporate it with the classic ways my grandfather taught me putting the essential measures in place to transition my career full time. I spent 5 years working as a barber and salon operation manager in a barbershop in Malaysia which have 12 branches then in late 2020 I got offered on linkedIn from one of the partners of Chaps & Co to join their team. I’ve excelled both technically and creatively since becoming a part of the Chaps team, which has allowed me to express my results through my hobby – Photography.
