I am a proud Army National Guard officer and a biology teacher by trade. I recently moved from Indianapolis to Tampa, and am seeking an opportunity to learn and grow in an environment outside the classroom. My hope is that by the end of this short biography, you'll learn some of my strengths and weaknesses. Please reach out with any questions. I'm an open book :) I believe a person that can’t tell you his weaknesses can’t truly be effective. As a kid, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Though it never goes away, I’ve learned to use systems and tools to manage it. Time management has always been a struggle for me. What I’ve learned is that being effective is better than being efficient. I constantly reassess and put energy into the most important task. I rely on teamwork and technology to focus my energy. I tend to seek innovation and see inefficiencies around me, because I am trained to look for them in myself.Perhaps my strongest trait is that I am curious. With any position I find myself in, it makes me extremely coachable. I can jump into any role ready to learn and seek feedback. In college, I played football on a National Championship team. 16 years of team sports taught me the value of hard work and a team-first attitude. I am a detail-oriented and highly enthusiastic leader. I tend to bring a contagious positivity into any team I’m a part of.
