• Provide training and customer support for automation liquid handing (Biomek and Echo) instrument installations and upgrades.• Proficient in method development for automation using Biomek software, specifically for genomic kits from Illumina, New England Biolabs, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Twist and Perkin Elmer.• Proficiency in using Biomek and Echo application softwares. familiarity in using biomek scripting tool kit. Worked as a Research laboratory scientist on the Superbug AI flagship project which is developing a tracking and response system to detect superbugs. The project integrates genomics, electronic healthcare data, and artificial intelligence(AI) to address antimicrobial resistance. I am heavily involved in the wet lab genomics including DNA extraction, quantification, Illumina and Oxford Nanopore library preparation and sequencing. I am experienced working with liquid handlers, fragment analysers, thermocyclers etc.In addition, I worked on a NHMRC funded Multicentre Randomised Double-Blind Placebo Controlled Trial of Combination Vancomycin Cefazolin Surgical Antibiotic Prophylaxis (ASAP Trial)and COVID-19 Biobank Project / VIRCO Trial. I was involved in clinical specimen handling, Bacterial culturing, Microscopy, identification using MALDI-TOF, Antibiotic resistance screening via VITEK-AST, Plate screening, MIC and Broth micro-dilution.

Worked as a research assistant on an observational study sponsored by Biotech Resources (BTR) to develop a diagnostic method to determine the presence of bacterial cells directly from the blood of patients with bloodstream infections that are at risk of developing or have developed sepsis.

As a technical support assistant, I was required to handle multiple clinical research studies lead by the Department heads and external collaborators investigating the genomics of the fungus causing Cryptococcal meningitis and the link between HIV and Left Ventricular Systolic Dysfunction (LVSD) as well as other commercial research projects.

Successfully completed work placement at the department of infectious discount . Through the completion of this role, I developed experience in DNA extraction, quantification, PCR and gel electrophoresis, Aseptic techniques in handling bacteria, Antibiotic susceptibility testing and maintaining laboratory equipment and general laboratory routines. Following the completion of my work placement I was offered a technical support assistant role at Alfred Health and Monash University.
