Taught a course on electrodynamics for a semester

We investigated the impact of various oxygen gettering metal layers on HfO2 RRAM performance. We made several HfO2 RRAM stacks with Pt, Cr, Al, Ti, Y, Sc and Hf as the oxygen gettering layers, and quantified its impact on the set, reset and forming voltages.

We used FDTD simulations to design and optimize gold-germanium-gold MIM structures that gave us a high Purcell Factor and enhanced the emission by more than 3000x at the emission wavelength of germanium. We also developed the fabrication processes to achieve sidewall gold on rectangular nanobeams.

Worked on a project to lower the contact resistivity for P and N doped Ge-like SiGe StructuresReduced the Contact Resistivity by 25x and nearly two orders of magnitude through the insertion of TiO2 between metal and Ge-rich SiGe. Project’s main applications is in electro-absorption Silicon Germanium Modulators for Optical Interconnects

Created new inter-FPGA communication methods for Xilinx Virtex 7 FPGA boards. Successfully designed and implemented the RTL for two new communication links using GTX and Serdes tiles, allowing communication in Several Gbps with clock recovery. Developed prototyping tools that were used to prototype the next three generations of TEGRA chips

Created an electrostatic simulator to estimate the depletion region in complex SiGe structures.We also characterized SiGe modulator for optical interconnects and studied the effects of annealing on the smoothness and photoluminescence measurements of the modulator
