I believe it is my job to realize educational innovation through measurable learning outcomes. For the past 10 years, I have been intensively researching learning analysis and artificial intelligence through public institution and private company. In recognition of its research achievements, it received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT in 2020.It has been 25 years of experience in public institutions and industries in the education field. Starting with the design of the university ERP's academic management system in 1997, I developed business models and online services when the online university in Korea was first launched in 1999. As a result of this work, I have been working on standardization in the field of LET(learning, education, and training) for the past 20 years.From 2002 to 2017, I worked on educational information technologies in the K-12 domain at the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS). I was mainly involved in standardization work that makes interoperability for platform services such as online content, e-book, learning analytics, and immersive content. The standardization is a specific work that requires both domain knowledge and technologies, so it is an attractive field that can increase more insight.Since 2017, I have been leading the educational data network design (as known as multimodal data network) and development of AI tutoring technologies using artificial intelligence at i-Scream Edu. I am also serving as working groups’ convenor for education and digital publishing at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/IEC JTC1). In addition, I have been serving as the CEO since the second half of 2019, adopting Business Intelligence and promoting company-wide Digital Transformation. Although it is an early stage, this was also recognized for its achievements, and it was also certified as a DX company in 2021.While majoring in business administration in undergraduate school, I liked to quantitatively analyze capital markets. However, after graduating from university, I became interested in multimedia communication while designing and developing education-related services. From 2000, with the rapid growth of the Internet, I wanted to study information systems in depth, so I continued with the doctoral program. That is why I am more interested in application and implementation than academic activities.

JTC1 has very diverse subcommittees and one of the interesting committee is SC36 namely ITLET (Information Technology for Learning, Education and Training). WG4 of JTC1/SC36 has scope to standardize management and delivery for digital resources and content and WG8 is completely new thing, which was established in January 2015, for learning analytics interoperability.

Research FellowKorea Education & Research Information Service (Keris) Sep 2002 - Oct 2017Daegu, Korea(2013 ~ 2017) Starting with the definition of learning activities data, I led fundamental research on learning analytics, a field that studies what purpose and method data will be analyzed and wrote the issue report regarding prospect for learning analytics in 2013. Based on this, with the support of the government funding, data collection system that collects learning contexts was completed through a three-year follow-up study and developed simultaneously as an international standard. (2016 ~ 2017) I led research for the human factor guidelines, which contain precautions and guidelines for providing virtual reality content using HMD to young learners under the age of 14. Even though the institution didn’t support sufficient budget, but I independently investigated for investigation regarding inclusive design. (2013 ~ 2015) I tried efforts to adopt the EPUB3 standard, which emerged while adopting HTML5 technology for e-book expression and distribution, to digital textbooks and educational services in the education domain. Interestingly the EDUPUB project through collaboration between international organizations (IDPF and IMS Global) was initiated by my invitation in Korea. (2005 ~ 2010) It was a period when education technology (Ed Tech) was growing rapidly worldwide, and I tried to introduce and standardize educational technology in Korea by participating in IMS Global Learning Consortium and SC36 (Sub-Committee 36, Information Technology for Learning, Education, and Training) under ISO. (2002 ~ 2004) I developed guidelines on SCORM for sharing online content of cyber (online) universities in Korea. Also, I participated in the cyber (online) home learning service based on the SCORM, a policy project for creating and sharing online contents for K-12 among metropolitan and provincial education offices across the country.
