Lab automation professional. Founder / President of Nucleus Automation Partners LLC. Over 20 years of experience with 10+ years focused on lab automation and liquid handling. Ex-Tecan senior applications scientist, liquid handling sales professional, and regional sales manager for liquid handling in Tecan Life Sciences Business unit. Ph.D. in bioengineering with undergrad degree in electrical engineering.Our services include planning for new automation, upgrading or reconfiguring existing equipment, device integration, method development, scripting, programming, testing, troubleshooting, custom software development, drivers, and scheduling. Examples of custom software include scripts for quant and norm in NGS workflows, automated data analysis of plate reader data for ELISA workflows, sample tracking and LIMS/LIS interfaces, data interfacing to downstream instruments such as mass spec or qPCR. We also work with some innovative clients developing their own OEM instruments.Our customers include biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, contract research organizations (CROs/CDMOs), clinical diagnostic laboratories, major academic medical centers, and reagent kit developers. We support customers throughout the United States as well as take on projects internationally, including Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Instrument platforms we know well include Tecan Fluent, Tecan Evo, Hamilton STAR, Hamilton Vantage, Agilent Bravo, PerkinElmer Janus, Beckman Coulter iSeries i5 / i7, Eppendorf epMotion 5073 / 5075, Opentrons OT-2 and Opentrons Flex, Flow Robotics, and INTEGRA. Liquid handling software we work with includes Tecan FluentControl, Tecan Evoware, Hamilton Venus, Hamilton Venus on Vantage (VoV), Agilent VWorks, PerkinElmer WinPrep, Beckman Coulter Biomek 5, Opentrons App and Opentrons Protocol Designer.
