With a huge passion for everything relating to the world of agriculture and business, I graduated with a first class honours degree in Food and Agribusiness Management from UCD in the Summer of 2020 and started a Teagasc PhD Walsh Scholarship in September 2020. My PhD explores specific challenges facing farmers in Ireland with regard to reducing their Greenhouse Gas emissions and identifies solutions to their challenges through the correct design of policy framework and extension services. In August of 2020, I also started a food business producing high quality granola/muesli and healthy snack items made from dates, nuts and seeds. You can check out the food business by viewing our website here: www.nutorious.ieI have experience working with the Irish Farmers Journal as a journalist, The Irish Farmers Association as a press intern, The Department of Finance as a social media account manager and Fine Gael as a personal assistant to former Ministers of State. I am on the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) council, partook in the 2018 student exchange program to Iowa State University and I completed my professional work placement in college with the Dairy Trading team at StoneX's European HQ in Dublin (formally INTL FC Stone).I played on the Wexford Senior Camogie team for 6 years and won a Leinster Senior title in 2016. I was the proud captain of the Wexford Senior Camogie Team in 2019 and I am currently on the Wexford Intermediate Ladies football team. I play both camogie and football for my club, Craanford.
