Iqtek is a small and friendly company that specializes in IP telephony solutions. My responsibility here was to design and develop frontend for company's own projects that help to automate call centers.My main contribution was to make our projects more maintainable and make onboarding easier to less experienced engineers. I did it by caring deeply about code quality and discussing weak places and possible solutions with my colleagues.Examples of interesting problems I worked on here include designing a small domain specific language and integrating it into a text editor, optimizing big tables, rendering canvas graphics, handling complicated real-time messaging, creating projects from scratch and more.One of my favorite responsibilities was to provide mentorship to new frontend developers. I enjoy explaining things to people and want to get better at it.Significant part of my work time I spent learning subjects that go beyond frontend engineering: Math, CS, soft skills and more. Self-education inspires me and helps me to seek and solve nontrivial problems in my work.Technologies I encountered at Iqtek include Typescript, Vue, Canvas graphics, Centrifuge, Python and more.
