Empowering Refugee Women and GirlsAt Let's Read, we are dedicated to providing education and empowerment to refugees, especially women and girls. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to build a brighter future for them by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.“Let’s Read” a joint effort led by Asmaa Al-Rashed and supported by a diverse team including Fadi Bakkawi, Abheejit K (Ektara), Alejandra and Francisco Alcala (Home Storytellers), and Dr. Rana Dajani (We Love Reading), is under the coordination of Ghufran Abudayyeh (MENA Chapters Coordinator).Out of the 3300 applications, only 26 projects were chosen, among which Let's Read stood out. This project aims to provide educational tools to the youth of the Zaatari refugee camp, with a special focus on girls and women. The project’s selection for support from the UN Refugee Agency Innovation Fund underscores its potential to make a tangible difference in the lives of refugees in the camps, where access to quality education is often limited. As the world continues to grapple with the complexities of refugee crises and displacement, initiatives like “Let’s Read” serve as beacons of hope, illustrating how innovative solutions and collaborative efforts can pave the way for brighter futures, even in the most challenging circumstances. For more information about the “Let’s Read” project and our mission, visit our website: https://letsread.crd.co/
