As an electronic component engineer, the job encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. I need to source and obtain samples, testing and approve various of electronic components such as ASICs, MOSFETs, DC/DC, Power management IC, Transistor, Diode and Linear ICs which be used in computer motherboards for Dell, HP, ACER . I also need to check the engineering BOM from product engineers and release the use of relevant electronic components. If components fail, I need to perform failure analysis with manufacturers. In addition, I analyzed market and performance trends for electronic components. I also participated many seminars and training provided by component manufacturers and instrument suppliers such as Intel, Infineon, STMcroelectronics ,ONsemi, NS, Philips, TI, VIshay, Farichild, ADI, LeCroy, Tektronic, Agilent,etc.
