1987年广西大学林学院本科毕业。1987－1996年在广西国有东门林场工作，从事营林生产，桉树林木育种改良和栽培研究（中国政府与澳大利亚政府进行的桉树育种与栽培研究发展合作项目），任研究所副所长。1997年8月－2006年8月，在印度尼西亚金光集团APP研究发展部门进行桉树、相思树的育种改良与栽培研究工作以及林区造林管理工作。任副处长、处长。2006年8月至今，在中国金光集团APP广西林务，从事管理工作，任造林部经理，副总经理，总经理。
