• Worked with Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering on on mammalian cell culture manufacturing at a precompetitive research level.• Operating Capillary Electrophoresis and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy to determine the sample’s organic and metal ion composition. Plotted time versus concentration kinetics data as images by using Mat-plotlib.• Discovered a full paradigm of ligand exchange between EDDS, EDTA, Citrate and HBED. The paradigm has been used as a standard to choose chelating agent to remove target metal ion in bio-media manufacturing.• Utilizing Visual-MINTEQ to simulate and get the equilibrium constant of ligand exchange reaction. Manipulating OriginLab to generate graphs of time versus coordination complex concentration. Determined the dominant Fe-ligand complex under different pH values. Figured out ligand exchange pathway based on lab data, observations and simulations.
