Shoutao Zhang is an Associate Professor at School of Physics, Northeast Normal University, Changchun, China. He received a B.S. in physics from Harbin Normal University in 2011. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. in condensed physics from Jilin University in 2016. After that, he spent two years and worked as a postdoc in School of Physics at Northeast Normal University. He then stayed on to teach at Northeast Normal University. He has long been engaged in theoretical research on the novel microstructure, physical and chemical properties, and functional simulation of condensed matter systems. In recent years, a number of innovative results have been achieved by focusing on frontier research involving novel structures of condensed materials, high-temperature superconductivity and mechanism, superhard properties and mechanism, high energy density and explosive properties, new oxidation states of elements. He published 50+ papers in international prestigious scientific journals. He has 1900+ citations and 21 h-index on Google Scholar. As a corresponding or first author, he published 24 papers in top journals of physics, chemistry, and materials science, including Phys. Rev. Lett, Phys. Rev. B, Chin. Phys. Lett, J. Am. Chem. Soc, J. Phys. Chem. Lett, Chem. Eur. J, Inorg. Chem, J. Phys. Chem. C, J. Mater. Chem. A, Mater. Today Phys, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, J. Power Sources, etc. He also serves as a reviewer for several internationally renowned journals.
