As a Health and Human Resource Specialist, I'm working at Bureau for Public Health, office of epidemiology and prevention services and working on the BioSense2.0 project. The BioSense2.0 program tracks health problems in the United States as they evolve. It provides public health officials with the data, information, and tools needed to better prepare for and coordinate responses to safeguard and improve the health of Americans.The responsibility of my job is developing a marketing plan for BioSense2.0 system and contacting with all hospitals in West Virginia trying to get these hospitals join into the BioSense2.0 system.

o MATRIC is a non-profit research and development corporation that conducts scientific research and development for state and federal governments, private foundations, and commercial customers.o MATRIC is located at South Charleston, WV with more than 100 employees, with plans to reach a size of several hundred within a few years. o Now MATRIC is starting a new company called Geographic Information Systems Company (GISCo), it consists of leading edge technology that has an evacuation simulation system. This system virtually shows what would happen if a mass evacuation were to happen and what resources are available in the surrounding area.o I spent three month with company’s Resident CEO Mr. Tim Wood and Red House Consulting and developed a business plan for GIS product.

o Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in the world and the corporation has 4,304 pharmacy locations throughout the United States, and with nearly $400 billion in worldwide sales each year and 1.4 million employees in the United States.o The Wal-Mart Pharmacy that I worked with is located on the University of Charleston Campus and is the first Wal-Mart Pharmacy on college campus in United States.o In order to help them increase profitability, during the internship my responsibility is working with one of my classmate and one of Pharmacy faculty develop a marketing strategy plan for Wal-Mart Pharmacy on Campus.o Wal-Mart accepted our marketing strategy plan, and also UC Pharmacy School will publish our project Wal-Mart Pharmacy: Finding Solutions to a Business Dilemma to American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).

o Piotti Ernesto S.A.S was founded in 1929 as a precision mechanical company in Albizzate, Italy.o Company products have really good reputation in European market and company annual sales are 5 Million Euro.o Piotti’s facility was consisted of 30 employees whom are committed to manufacture highly qualified products such as: mechanical machinery, hydraulic components, ball valves and other specialized turned parts.o I spent all most one month learned about company business; I learned their products and learned their market. Then, I helped company found distribution partners and joint-venture candidates in China.o Developed business plan for company commercial development in Chinese hydraulic market.

o My internship job is assistant manager in sales and marketing department, learned about their business and their market.o Worked with 10 sales and marketing department employees developed a business plan to help company increase their convenience store sales.
