• Manage high performing team of Zebra CDC ME and EE, develop direct thermal and thermal transfer printer from Mobile, desktop, tabletop and accessories;• NPD development meeting scope, schedule, cost and budget• Manage strategic ODM relationships and suppliers • Manage department budget.• People development and performance plans• Partnering with product management with new product definition (provide the technical and engineering insight as relates to the market and application).• Develop an environment of innovation and insight especially for local strategic market and applications in China• Build and maintain positive high performing relationships with CDC FW/SW team, operations, global engineering, product management, services and regional partners.

• Responsible for the MRD of mobile printer; Review the MRD and clarify the requirements for the team;• Define the features (including the SW and FW features) for mobile printer and set the priority for these features to balance the development cost, BOM cost and time to market;• Customer VOC to understand the China market of Mobile printers, and understand the use case of the mobile printer in China;• Work with sales team, regional product management team, planning team, CAG team, sustaining team and compliance team to resolve the legacy product issues and customer issues;

• Responsible for the system design of low cost desktop printer, define the platform of desktop printer; Work out the low-cost desktop printer PRD together with team and finalize the PRD;• Work with product manager, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, FW engineer and other team members to define the project scope;• Front end analysis and verification on the motor and PH, collect the requirements from team, communicate with suppliers on our requirements, work with mechanical engineer and electrical engineer to finetune the platform and parameters to make the motor work; Work with NPI and commodity manager on quotation and sample make; • Coordinate the discussion and communication between Zebra CDC team, suppliers and Zebra USA engineering team on the printer system issues;• Work with Electrical engineer and Mechanical engineer to debug the system EMI issue;• Coordinate the bug review and bug resolve for printer;

• Responsible for the design of accessories(Vehicle cradle, Ethernet cradle, power station, battery charger and belt clip) for the Mobile bar code printers• Responsible for the technical communication between Zebra US (engineering, product management, design assurance) team and Zebra China design center on the accessories design;• Define the use case and confirm the MRD together with product manager;• Define the interface between printer and accessories with design engineers from;• Generate the engineering spec for the accessories base on the MRD from product manager;• Work with ID design house to design the ID of the accessories;• Make the architecture design for the products and verify the architecture and key parameters on prototype unit;• Make the detail design for some accessories with Creo, focus on design the plastic parts and metal parts;• Tolerance analysis on the design and do the DFMEA on the design to evaluate the possible risk and failure mode;• Resolve the issues found during DVT, like drop test issues, tumble test issues, reliability issues and IP issues;• Review and confirm the test plan together with DAE;• Leading the design team of ODM vendor to design some of our products and to make sure the product meet Zebra’s specification and standard;• Review the design from ODM vendor and teach them to do DFMEA and tolerance analysis as well as generate the test plan for the ODM products;• Leading the ODM vendor to resolve some critical design issues found during DVT;

• Lead the RD team develop the Inkjet printer, the job including coming out the design concept for quotation, make prototype at EVT stage and release the design to manufacturing;• Coordinate the job among ME,EE,FW/SW,DQA,MCE and other function teams to make the project go smoothly and MP on schedule• Communicate with customer on the design issues base on the issue and bug list, align the team’s work with customer;• Hold design review meeting, check the design together with task leaders and related engineers;• Leading the project team to implement the DFX(Design for Assembly/Manufacturing/test/cost and so on)• Leading the project to resolve the bugs at DVT stage• Support PM to resolve some assembly line issues• Provide on-site support to resolve some design issues after MP• Cost evaluate and cost control for the project• Maintain the I-BOM of project at DVT stage

• Take charge of the ADF(Automatic document feed)design of MFP(Multifunction printer)• Evaluate the specification and ID from customer • Do the layout base on the Spec and ID, including lay the paper path, gear train, motor, shaft and other parts;• Part design(plastic and metal part) with IDEAS, and design review with team member and tooling guys to check if there is any function issue, tooling issue and assembly issue;• Tolerance analysis on the design and do the DFMEA on the design to evaluate the possible risk and failure mode;• De-bug on schedule at the DVT stage• Co-work with DQA (design quality assurance) guys to come out the on-line test plan and system test plan, and verify the design and design change, optimize the critical design parameters;• Co-work with factory side to make the ADF module to be facilitate for production;• Discuss with customer design engineer on the design issue in English
