Greetings, everyone. My name is David Lin, I received a master's degree at the end of this August after studying at The School of Big Data Management at Soochow University. Besides majoring in Financial Engineering and Actuarial Mathematics during my time in college, I also studied big data analysis credited program along with courses opened by The School Of Big Data Management. They laid a good foundation for my professional knowledge, and made me more certain on my career development as well. When studying at graduate school, I learned further skills on the application level of big data, as well as different data analysis tools such as python, tableau, SQL...etc. Due to my passion in big data, I participated in contests, lectures, and classes related to big data in order to gain more knowledge and experience. I also got a Big Data Analyst certificate which was issued by the Industry Professional Assessment System, Ministry of Economic Affairs. In addition to laying a solid foundation for my skills and proficiency, I was a data analytic intern at the Department of Risk Advisory at Deloitte. I was also a research assistant at Taiwan Insurance Institute. During my work experience for about one year, I gained lots of precious working and learning experience.
