Dr. Xiaoli Ma was born and educated in China. She obtained MSc in 1997 and a PhD in Biological Sciences in 2005 from Shandong University. From 2006 to 2008, she has been held postdoctoral positions in Carcinogenesis group in International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in France.Most of her laboratory research was focused on molecular genetics, particularly on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in cancers. She joined Jinan Military General Hospital as genetic researchers in 1997 where she became attending physician in 2000. From 2003 to now, she does research work as a scientist staff in Jinan Hospital affiliated to Shandong University. Her research has a focus on the molecular mechanism of cancers including lung cancer, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer and so on.
