Generally the job involves four sections: student recruitment, social media management, network building and maintenance (alumni society building, partnership development and maintenance) as well as market intelligence collecting and feedback.My major responsibility as described by the title, is to contribute to the development and implementation of the University's marketing and recruitment plans in China, develop in-country marketing activities for all Schools and Faculties under the University to ensure that the University's wider strategic aims and its student recruitment targets are fulfilled every year.Meanwhile, I am responsible to the University's digital marketing strategy implementation and social media management in China, to optimize the University's digital presence in Chinese social media channels such as WeChat, Weibo, Youku and Bilibili etc.Network building and maintenance are also required to help the University develop new strategic partners in both education and research fields, maintain its current partners such as agents, universities etc., as well as build a functional and well-established alumni society in China.As the job is related to both education and marketing, I am also responsible to collect marketing intelligence on the education marketing of China and feedback to relevant Schools and Faculties, as well as come up with solutions and measures to the existing issues in student recruitment market.
