I first set foot in Africa in 2006, driven by a curiosity about the continent. That year, I made the decision to study at the University of the Free State in South Africa. After completing my studies, I started a chrome refinery business in Pretoria, focusing on chrome processing in RSA. However, due to the Global Financial Crisis and shifts in the economic outlook, I returned to China to explore new opportunities.In 2016, I embarked on a new journey in China, working in the field of asset evaluation. Yet, it seems fate had other plans for me. As someone born in Hunan Province, I noticed the growing trade activities between Hunan and Africa, particularly in light of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. This increasing potential in China-Africa trade motivated me to repurpose my skills and dive back into international business.Today, I serve as the Regional Director for Africa and Middle Asia Region at Hunan Guangshun Cable Co., Ltd., helping to strengthen ties between our company and the African market.
