I have been stationing in China for over 10 years in addition to the frequent business travel to China prior to the stationing, originally intended to return to work in Hong Kong after last job in Shandong. Core business of the medical center provided imaging and body check. Policy and procedures, organisation structure, system and operations procedures were immature at the time of my joining. Staff turnover was high. My initial responsibilities were to take care of the above described areas to build a solid operations foundation. I later decided to resign after realizing the high cost of living in HK, together with the limited living space made me the desire to return to work and live in China. Currently staying in Shenzhen and looking for new employment opportunity, accept contract work and consultancy role, if not full-time employment position.

It was a new set up of an English Training Center in Shandong, target to educate students from age group 3 to 8. After joining, I took charge of the center design, renovation, teachers recruitment and trainings, staff recruitment, curriculum development, established marketing strategies through market research & study, implemented marketing campaign and student recruitment. The employer acquired a new land at the same time of operating the center to build a bilingual school. During the design phase, I was appointed as the Director of the new school board.

Consulting projects mainly in Shenzhen included : a) Operations revamp and marketing/students recruitment for an English Training Center which educated students for age between 3-8. b) Revamp operations, modified business model and staff replacement for a prestige club which comprised of spa & beauty treatment, French restaurant, and hair salon. c) Assisted in the set up of operations for a wellness & healing center in the Mount Huangshan owned by a listed property developer. d) Conducted research study in Shanghai for the project of Home for the Ages.

It was a brand new company privately owned by the chairman of a HK listed company. I was sent to conduct research studies and discussions of business collaboration together with a medical professor and a specialist from the US. Countries of visits included Switzerland, Germany, France, USA, Strausburg and China. Research and JV discussion areas included integration of East and West natural medicines joinly with healing program/equipment to cure chronic disease; JV discussion between Germany and China companies on pharmaceutical & biochemical production; technology transfer of natural medicines to treat chronic diseases.

A prominent international school with over 90 years of history. Adopts IGCSE & IB system, taking students from pre-school to G.13. The position was newly created. A regional role to supervise all campuses in HK (8 campuses), Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Qingdao, and California. Achievement: Unified all campuses in the publicity & media images, brand building, corporate identity; implemented marketing campaign strategies through annual market research & studies; modified and improved admissions policies; established evaluations report; harmonized work function between Academic and Marketing areas. I was sent to California 1 week after joining to take care of the large amount of students drop issue, stayed for 3 months and resolved issue. Assisted in the set up of new school in Qingdao and took charge of its school launch.

Took charge of Hollywood film distribution for HK and China market for United International Pictures (UIP), co-owned by Universal, Paramount, MGM and United Artists. Handled over 100 movie gala premiers of which some were blockbuster movies. Took charge of international film stars tour who came to promote blockbuster movies for Asia market where HK was normally selected as the host city. Holding track record of driving business to top box offices market shares. Achievement: I was elected as the HK film board chairperson of Motion Pictures Association (MPA) for 8 major Hollywood studios. During the capacity, I took lead in the film industry joint forces with the HK government in the intellectual property piracy fighting, activiites of piracy had been pressed down after the campaign. I remain as the chairwoman for over 5 years which was supposed to be rotated each year.

The largest listed bicycle manufacturer in China. During the capacity as the Financial Controller, I set up Internal Audit department and took lead to audit outlets in major cities. Achievement : The biggest dumping case in the bicycle industry of China alleged by the US government arrived. I represented China Bicycle and the industry to tackle the court case together with a team of lawyers, attended and dealt with the investigation conducted by the US Commerce department. Case won at the end as a victory to win back the big US market.

- Project management in energy related projects - JV to build oil refinery in Shenzhen, partners included Shenzhen government, Sinopec, Hutchison Energy and China Resources; JV of lubricant plant with AGIP petroleum; JV of oil trading with TOTAL petroleum; acquistion of mid-stream operation JV with HIT Terminal, HK.There being no further projects, to be transferred to STAR TV under Hutchison group to take up Senior Finance & Admin manager position, additionally involved in the acquisition of film rights to build the largest film library in Asia, also to handle due dilligence of acquisition of an animation co. in Ireland.

Took charge of entire operations set up for the wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC, core business was exclusive printing for HSBC stationery & security printings, and exclusive printing for HK Jockey Club betting tickets.Set up included :- Purchase of plant & machinery- Identified software and hardware systems for the distribution operation, took charge of the system implementation and large data transfer.- Write up policy & procedures- Took charge of company admin, HR, and operations- Computerized accounting system- Attended to company secretarial duties
