From 2020 to 2024, I pursued my undergraduate studies at Peking University, majoring in Life Sciences and taking numerous courses in psychology, sociology, and various fields within the humanities and social sciences. During this period, I interned at the university’s psychological counseling center and with NGOs, focusing on mental health, gender issues, and LGBTQIA+ groups. Through these experiences, I discovered my strong interest in sociology and psychology, and I hope to use these perspectives to help women and sexual minorities achieve better life experiences and reduce various forms of discrimination and stereotypes.In September 2024, I began a two-year Master’s program in Psychology at KU Leuven in Belgium, specializing in “Master of Psychology: Theory and Research.” This program provides rigorous research training, equipping me with essential research skills, including research design, data collection, data analysis, academic writing, and scholarly communication. Currently, I am working on my master’s thesis, titled “Women cannot lead, men cannot care - nonsense or not,” in which I hope to explore new perspectives on gender issues through research.In my daily life, I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music, and traveling. Some of my favorite authors include Lu Yao, Li Juan, Hermann Hesse, and Sayaka Murata. Recently, I’ve been learning photography to capture moments in life and on my travels. I’m also dedicated to swimming; I can swim breaststroke easily, am fairly proficient in backstroke, and work to improve my front crawl technique.
