Overseeing the strategies and governance of CFPA, including governance, microfinance, internationalization of CFPA, nurturing the growth of grassroots NGOs, promoting transparency and accountability among Chinese NGOs, promoting civil philanthropy vs corporate philanthropy and internal management rules and regulations of strategic importance to CFPA such as the KPI (key performance indicators) basedevaluation and incentive scheme, innovation / development fund, bottom-line risk management and control etc.

1. Involved in successfully transforming CFPA from a government-dependent GONGO (government-operated NGO) to a market-based NGO, setting an example for institutional reform for other Chinese GONGOs.2. Development and enforcement of a comprehensive package of internal rules and procedures, covering management of human resources, finance, administration, branding, marketing and fundraising, clients service, projects implementation, monitoring & evaluation, internal audit etc.3. Design, development, implementation and management of a series of flagship charitable projects such as Disaster Response Project, New Great Wall Project (scholarships for poor college students), Maternal and Children Health Project, Microfinance Project, Schoolbag Project, Community Development Project and International Development Project etc.4. Recruiting and growing a professional, competent and dedicated staff team (currently there are 120 staff for charitable projects and 1600 staff for microfinance operations).

Involvement in technical assistance, project design, identification, feasibility studies, technical preparation, per-appraisal, appraisal, negotiation, launch, implementation, management, supervision, monitoring and quality assurance of the poverty reduction projects financed by multilateral and bilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank etc.

1. Technology transfer between China, European Union and selected developing countries.2. Engaging long-term and short-term expertise and consulting services to serve China's agricultural sector.3. Organization of international seminars and conferences.4. Organization of international exhibitions on new agricultural technologies.5. Studies of EU-assisted projects.6. Translation and publication of books and documents on European quarantine regulations and rules, farming models and women in development.
