2013 - Present: Founder of Gateway AcademyGateway Academy is the second business I have founded and it is the product of many years of experience and research into elite education. As material consumption increases in Chinese society, the wealth inheritance of elite families will continue to grow and they will make more and more pressing demands. To help the children of these families to achieve happiness and success and for them to become outstanding contributors to our society is my intent and mission in creating Gateway Academy!From 2012 to 2013, I contacted over one hundred elite public and private grade schools as well as prestigious universities and personally invested in several quality enterprises. Through studying societal levels and “food chains”, I was able to observe how the global elite are trained and educated. From here I created the “Three Worlds Principle” to explain the most critical element of top-tier elite education. Understanding one’s external material world, interpersonal world, and inner-self world assists in the development of productive study, critical thinking, and project execution. In day-to-day education, it does not matter what the natural ability of the student is, what matters is motivating their studies and teaching them to attain the qualities of excellence -- discipline, creativity, curiosity, collaboration and discussion, resilience, taking initiative, and independence. This educational philosophy in practice has not only helped Gateway students to gain the recognition of elite American schools, but also has helped them to spark their inner fire and develop personally.Gateway Academy extends its warm welcome to Chinese-English bilingual elite young professionals with strong academic and introspective skills and overseas experience to join us to develop and realize our ambitions in the education industry.

In partnership with America’s largest K-12 educational publishing group, I created China’s first English subject brand – “RISE Subject English”. It was the first time a complete set of American learning materials from kindergarten to high school, including multimedia resources and software, was brought into China. It was also the first company to use project-based study，small group discussion and cooperation, cultivating public speaking ability for the purpose of developing future leaders into China and into the homes of Chinese families. In five years, RISE Subject English grew into the largest immersion subject English educational brand in China, with more than one hundred educational centers across the country serving hundreds of thousands of families. Because I was the first to introduce the concept of immersion subject English and opened up a blue ocean market in education, in five years its value grew by almost one thousand percent and is now used as a classic case study in business schools today. “RISE China” was also awarded “China’s most powerful education group”, “China’s 10 largest youth education brands”, as well as other honors in the industry. “Subject English” has already become part of the Chinese government’s English education system.

This was the first position I held after receiving my MBA, and it allowed me to get my foot into the education industry. I learned there that you reap what you plant: I worked from a low level employee all the way to a sales director. This path instilled further in me my professional style: results-oriented, self-disciplined, self-analyzing, constant self-improvement.
