For many years as an Executive Vice President at MediaZen, a publicly-traded company specializing in AI, I oversaw overall language intelligence (CHAT GPT)-based AI businesses (car/kiosk/AI call center, etc.) among many other business fields I was in charge of. After many years working as a management consultant at Samil Accounting (PwC Consulting), MERCER, and HAYGROUP, I joined MediaZen in 2011, at which time, a small AI start-up company worth only KRW 800 million in valuation. I am proud that I was able to grow it into a KRW 20 billion market-cap company. In particular, since 2012, I have led my efforts to successfully develop and deliver voice recognition solutions of 28 different languages to Hyundai Motor Company, and it eventually led to making new customers such as Volkswagen, Toyota, and Ford, which was considered by many industry experts and investors beyond a small Korean local tier 2 supplier’s capability.Recently, in addition to the conquering the voice recognition field for the auto industry, we have been developing deep learning/CHAT GPT-based AI language intelligence solutions for new industries such as kiosks systems for local governments and airport railroads. In addition, while promoting recent AI HUB projects and various AI-related policy projects such as NIA/IITP, hosted by government ministries, my company has been selected as the best exemplary case and corporate case. From the perspective of global partnerships efforts I led, joint voice recognition projects with Hyundai Motor, have been successful in working with major tech giants such as Amazon, Google for Android Auto, Apple for SIRI services, CERENCE (formerly NUANCE), and SOUNDHOUND. In the recent IOT field, we are leading domestic/Japanese/Southeast Asian partnership projects in partnership with IFLYTEK, another tech AI giant from China.During my tenacious journey at MediaZen as the EVP, another accomplishment that I am proud of was to bring in investors to this small start-up. During my tenure, I was able to successfully close series B funding with Humax and Bluecom, series C with private equity such as KB INVESTMENT, KDB Idea Bridge, L&S, and finally listing the company in the public stock exchange, KOSDAQ, in 2019. Along with many other accomplishments, this is surely my bragging right. Thank you.
