My main research fields are system IC design and quantum computing. I had been leading multiple generation of LG TV SoC solutions and successfully applied them to the products contributing LG to be a global top TV player. My recent mission was to draw up a blueprint of an innovative AI picture engine chip to strengthen the competitveness of LG OLED TV, that is, alpha 9 processor series, which has been continuously upgraded and now the 6th generation of that is available.In 2019, I initiated a quantum computing task in the LG group. I built up a team to be prepared for this state-of-the-art technology to provide solutions for the most highly difficult problems with quantum computing such as fluid dynamics differential equation and optimizaion targetting for LG product/service portfolio. I also established LG mid-term and long-term plans and strategy for this future technology. I served as a CEO in First Step Labs (accelerator), a child company of Bridge Alliance Partners. I had experienced start-up investments, and how to value up a start-up.Currently, I am working for Wellang as a CEO. Wellang is a fabless company, and a global player in the field of digital TV audio AMP IC. It is also providing analog IC solutions such as LNBP IC and AC direct lighting IC. We are strategically looking for new business opportunities, that is, to expand audio AMP IC solutions to cover automotive and mobile, and to provide wide-spectrum of power IC solutions for automotive.
