▣ 석/박사/후과정 포항공과대학교/Harvard Medical School 근무기간 1990.12~2000.12POSTECH에서의 석/박사 과정, BWH 에서의 Research fellow 과정 중에 C형 간염바이러스, B형 간염바이러스, 헤르페즈 바이러스의 확인 및 만성 감염 기전, 암 촉진 기전, 면역회피 기전에 관해 연구하였습니다. 이 과정 중 한국인으로부터 C형 간염바이러스를 최초로 full cloning 하였고, 특성을 규명하고, 진단 kit을 개발하는데 공헌하였으며(동아제약의 C형 간염바이러스 진단 kit 의 모태가 됨) , 마모셋원숭이에서 종양을 유도하는 새로운 헤르페즈 바이러스를 동정하고 클로닝하여 이 바이러스의 면역 회피 기전을 밝혔습니다. ▣ LG생명과학에서는 (2001.01~2005.04) C형 간염바이러스, B형 간염바이러스에 대한 약물 효능연구를 담당하였는데, high-throughput Screening을 통해 C형 간염바이러스의 복제 저해제를 탐색하였으며, 이때 나온 Hit을 Lead 및 비임상 후보로 개발하는 과정 동안 Bioassay team을 이끌었습니다. B형간염치료제는 약효평가를 담당하였고 약효 평가 방법에 대해 특허를 취득하는데 관여하였습니다. 이 약물은 제가 퇴사 후 LG생명과학에서 임상 2상 수행 후 타사로 기술이전 되었습니다. C형간염치료제 경우는 비임상후보까지 선정하는데 필요한 모든 Bioassay를 담당 하였습니다. 이때 선정된 후보는 비임상연구 중, 개에서의 급성 호흡곤란과 쥐의 간에서 oil drop이 생기는 부작용으로 인해 개발이 중단되었습니다.▣ 가톨릭의대(서울, 강남, 2005.05~2008.04)에서는 류마티스 관절염의 치료를 위한 면역관용유도 및 면역 관용기전을 연구 하였습니다. 대학원생 면역학 강의 및 대학원생 연구지도를 하였습니다.
