HyunWoo Shin is the President of Hanwha Corporation/Hanwha Aerospace and also conducting as the President & Chairman of the Board of Hanwha Foundation of Culture.He became a visiting professor of Aerospace Engineering Department, Seoul National University as well.He also concurrently serves as the Vice Chairman of the the Federation of Korean Industries, Korea Enterprises Federation and the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry.He spearheaded Hanwha’s Aerospace & Defense Strategy and Business Development. He joined Hanwha Group in 1987 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2014 and elevated to Chief Executive Officer in 2015.He has accumulated 36 years of experience in aerospace & defense at Hanwha with various leadership positions which include Chief Executive Officer of Hanwha Defense Systems and Hanwha Techwin’s Aerospace & Defense Business and Hanwha Power System, Corporate Vice President of Hanwha Techwin, and Senior Vice President of Business Strategy & Management at Hanwha Corporation.HyunWoo Shin’s expertise extends beyond the aerospace and defense sector, which is highlighted by his role as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Hanwha Group in 2014.His ability to integrate, manage, and develop strategy for multiple defense affiliates was enriched through roles as Senior Vice President of Defense Business Development in 2010 and Senior Vice President of Business Strategy & Management of Hanwha Corporation.In addition to his corporate leadership roles, he was actively involved in advancing various manufacturing industries in Korea as the Chairman of the Korea Association of Robot Industry and Vice Chairman of the Korean Association of Aerospace Industry.He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University. He completed the Advanced Management Program and National Security Advanced Management Program at Seoul National University Business School.
