Hi, I'm Chris (Hyunjun Cho), a software engineer.With more than 15 years of experience building quality software solutions, I am currently working on automating the roadview production process and developing related developments in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) at Kakao.In his early career, he focused on developing codec solutions. For about 7 years, he worked at QLAM Technology Labs, where he gained expertise in developing mobile imaging optimization technologies by working on projects such as data compression and facial skin imaging analysis.After joining Kakao, he focused on building automated roadview production pipelines and AI-based analysis systems. He has leveraged advanced technologies such as computer vision and machine learning/deep learning to improve large-scale roadview data processing and automation processes. He has participated in original technology research on advanced technologies such as indoor-based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). As a technical advisor, he has also contributed to the recruitment process such as coding test questions and interviews.Currently, as a senior engineer, I contribute to development tasks such as software architecture design and algorithm optimization. In particular, I have gained experience in large-scale data processing by developing a part of a high-density roadview data processing process that is segmented at 1m intervals. This process generates about 700,000 images per day, which can process more than 250 million images per year. My experience in contributing to building a system that can reliably and efficiently process such large amounts of data is a great asset.More recently, I have been working on prompt engineering techniques utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs). Through prompt engineering, I am exploring ways to optimize the performance of LLMs and apply them to a variety of applications. This is expected to contribute to the practicality of AI technology and improve user experience.In addition to his work, he has been giving lectures and special lectures on computer vision and AI at Korea University Soongsil University, and Korea University of Communication and Information Technology to foster the next generation of talent. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Seoktop Lecture Award from Korea University in 2022.The main technology stack includes programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, and computer vision and machine learning frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
