I shifted to work on starting new GenAI bets within business messaging

I worked as a senior engineer on the Click to WhatsApp Ads team at Meta. I drove our consumer side work of the team, improving ad performance for both my product and influencing the work on my old team. While I drove the consumer ad experience, it was among the fastest growing and most successful ad products at Meta, particularly focused in emerging markets. I mentored folks, helped formulate team strategy, and executed rapidly on the work I helped create. Through that, my pillar of the team consistently drove ad score improvements and value for advertisers, customers, and Meta.I worked primarily as an android engineer when I handled day to day execution, and picked up whatever server/iOS work was required to fill in team gaps.

I worked as a software engineer on Click to Messenger ads. I drove a series of projects to both improve business tooling for managing conversations and to improve ad performance. My work was primarily focused on Android but also supporting other platforms (iOS, Web).

Interned in Pedro Lopes' (http://plopes.org/) Human Computer Integration lab. I worked with both physical design/fabrication (primarily 3D printing and laser cutting) and developed Unity/VR software for a music themed project that aimed to use electric muscle stimulation (EMS) to make it easier to learn to play the trombone.

Designed and implemented a journaling and self-analysis iOS app. Came up with the idea and implemented it as a personal side project. Currently in a beta, more information to come!

Interning this summer as a software engineer at Facebook's main campus. I am working on the Events Coordination team doing iOS mobile development.I implemented a full stack feature for the Facebook iOS app that aimed at boosting user interaction and metrics.

Worked on the Application Configuration Data Reporting (ACDR) application development team at Bank of America. The ACDR team is developing an internal application that will help reduce configuration drift on more than 30,000 Bank of America servers.Designed and implemented solutions to three separate problems the team was facing. First, developed an automated application health report, with detailed statistical context, so that team members would have a consistent, accurate picture of application performance. Second, implemented code that linked webtrends data to application usage by our clients. This allowed business side team members to make sure that clients who upload data actually use the application. My work therefore allowed the team to make sure ACDR is delivering value for the bank. And third, assembled both user data and application errors, so that technical and business side team members could focus just on resolving errors instead of tracking them down in a massive application. In general, used computer science and statistics to automated processes previously done manually and provide needed statistical context to application information.Also led and managed a six man intern team that participated in a Bank of America consulting competition internal to the technology division. My team successfully conceived of our proposal (essentially Airbnb for conference rooms) and presented our proposal to Bank of America senior technology leadership. We were then selected to advance and present our proposal to the CTO of Bank of America. My team tied for first in the entire competition (with the winners selected by the CTO).

Worked in a University of Chicago Computational Neuroscience lab doing neuron spike sorting and data analysis using specific neuron spike sorting software and principle component analysis.

Worked at a Hyde Park elementary school as part of the University of Chicago Neighborhood Schools Program. Tutored math and reading to small groups of low and high performing 4th grade students. Worked with students to engage them in learning. Provided administrative support (e.g. grading, copying) to the teacher.

Taught ACT test strategies and tutored students in math, English, and reading. Worked with financially disadvantaged students who were aspiring to attend college and needed help preparing for the ACT test. Gained experience working with people one-on-one and in small groups in a professional and supportive manner.
