+R was founded in Milan by three architects who share the passion for design in different fields and the vision of architecture as an historical, social and economical resource.
The work of +R deals mainly with the existing heritage – from interior refurbishment and redesign of apartments, offices and retail spaces, to the restoration and extension of rural houses and the energy efficiency upgrade of existing buildings. +R has also experience in exhibition and stage design. The will to recognise in the existing built environment a cultural, social and economical value to be enhanced is the starting point of every project.
+R is also focused on interior and human-scale spaces, giving special attention to the integration between architecture and furniture, pushing the design process up to a very high detail.
+R gained experience in consulting and design for exhibition outfitting, stands and scenographies, adapting the service and the final product to the client’s specific needs and requirements.
The working method, based on a critical and active knowledge of the existing built environment, aims to give a new meaning to the object our intervention - whether it is architecture, product design or graphic design - through the design process, so that it can find a new, reconceptualized identity. Restoring, refurbishing, reactivating in order to follow a sustainable approach to design from any point of view, not only for technical and energetic aspects.
