The label reflects the concept of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’, as it aims to promote the rich but largely unexplored weaving tradition, exquisite fabrics and delicate hand embroidery and block printing techniques of the artisans of Central India. Through the fusion of indigenous craft and modern designs, our label intends to frontline local talent, particularly that of women weavers... OUR VISION Our motive is to build a creative and diverse team, and make a positive impact by utilizing the expertise of rural and semi-urban women artisans for their traditional skills of hand embroidery and block printing, which will provide a source of income to them and at the same time, will give an impetus to the gradually dying handicraft techniques. It will be our endeavour to promote eco-friendly fashion using high quality fabric. Tasveer strives to spread the weaving and embellishing tradition of Central India all around the world through its beautifully and expertly handcrafted line of apparel.
