A lunch break between 2 meetings during our internships was enough to agree on one thing: we are not doing enough at our level to address the environmental challenges.
This lunch led to some great debate. But above all, it made us want to dig into the subject of food, and more specifically sustainable food. By doing some research, we discovered that agriculture represents 19% of the world's C02 emissions via livestock and soil cultivation, and that it was therefore a significant lever for action.
But how could we, students at EDHEC, discover these topics and produce content that would raise awareness around us?
Hence, we decided to create 1 Fork Away, an environmental association around the topics of sustainable food and agriculture. Its goal is to :
- SENSITIZE our generation to those issues
- RENEW with what we eat and with our consumption patterns
- PROPOSE easy, accessible and economically viable solutions
We are therefore planning a four-month road trip around the EU to meet experts and actors of change in order to show that it is possible to eat in a sustainable way in tomorrow's world, while reconnecting ourselves, as consumers, to our plates.
