When a family is struggling with trying to manage the addiction of a loved one it is one of the most painful processes to go through. Addiction leads to a point of crisis after crisis after crisis. When the family has no where they turn to sending their loved one to the a drug and alcohol treatment center. The treatment center world can be a very challenging and daunting task for someone who may have zero experience dealing with.
In the desperation of a crisis a family member will reach out to 11:11 Intervention, being met on the other end of the phone with love, compassion and understanding. The initial phone call will be in interview process of the Identified Patient (I.P.), including family history of addiction and mental health. At the end of the phone call our team will dictate a plan of action to be presented to the family, the key family members who will be part of the intervention “team” along with cost for the services.
The second step that will take place is for the intervention to be set up on both ends of the intervention and of family. The interventionist will make contacts with family members who will be on the team to interview them of the I.P. and family history, along with setting up treatment that fits the budget of the I.P. The family responsibilities are to set up flights, hotels and facility for the intervention, being the guide to the “team” about information of the intervention.
The next step in the process is for the “team” to meet up, bringing their letters to do a few practice runs of how the intervention is going to take place. The interventionist in this step will coach the family of the role of each individual is going to play to reach its goal to have the I.P. to commit to going to going to treatment
Reaching the day of the intervention, the team sits in a circle, placing the I.P. in the spot set up in the practice runs. The family goes around the circle reading the letter each wrote leading up to the last person who will say “We want you to go to treatment today”.
If I.P. decides to go to treatment the plan already set in place will take place taking the I.P. to treatment. If not each family member will read a list of how the new relationship will take place with family member and I.P. from this point forward, at which time the Intervention may ask the I.P. if they are willing to speak with them trying to close the deal.
Interventionist will stay with family throughout the stay of treatment or with family up to an agreed amount of time to help facilitate communication with I.P. to finish up the intervention to where the I.P. eventually to end up in treatment. If family wants more services, case management can be set up for either the family, for the I.P. or for both
11:11 Intervention will provide Groups and 1:1 counseling throughout treatment centers throughout Orange County, working closely with the treatment team to provide interventions for young people to live a healthy clean and sober lifestyle.
